Vice President bids farewell to outgoing Brazilian Ambassador, reaffirms Ghana-Brazil partnership

During a farewell meeting, the Vice President, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, the Government and people of Ghana, expressed appreciation to Ambassador Madeira for her service and efforts in deepening Ghana-Brazil cooperation during her tenure.

The Vice President also acknowledged Brazil’s support for Ghana on international initiatives, including efforts related to the United Nations resolution on the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, as well as cooperation under the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty and programmes focused on women and social development.

She wished the outgoing ambassador well in her future diplomatic endeavours and expressed Ghana’s commitment to working with her successor to maintain the momentum in Ghana-Brazil relations.
