Two dead, five injured in Mankessim-Accra highway crash
The Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), DOII Abdul Wasiu Hudu, a rescue team from the Mankessim Fire Station, working in collaboration with the National Ambulance Service, was dispatched to the scene and found a Toyota Voxy with registration number AS 8911-25 extensively damaged after the crash.
DOII Hudu explained that the rescue team immediately secured the accident scene and worked with personnel from the National Ambulance Service to evacuate the victims.
Following the rescue operation, personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service cleared debris from the highway to restore the smooth flow of traffic and minimise the risk of secondary accidents.
