Thunderstorms to hit northern Ghana as mist and drizzle cover the south, GMET warns

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has forecast thunderstorms and rain over parts of northern and transition belt communities on Wednesday, while much of southern Ghana is expected to remain under mostly cloudy skies with patches of mist and fog during the early hours.
The forecast indicates that Accra and Winneba could experience slight morning rain before becoming variably cloudy later in the day, while Takoradi, Axim, Koforidua, Kumasi and other forest communities are expected to wake up to misty conditions.
However, the agency cautioned that thunderstorms and rain are likely to redevelop over sections of the northern sector, as well as parts of the transition and middle belts, from late afternoon into the evening.
