"The Police have commenced further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are making efforts to identify and arrest any other persons who may have been involved," the statement said.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command, in a statement, identified the deceased as Yusuf Zakari, who was allegedly attacked by a group of people in the early hours of Saturday, 19 July.

Following what the police described as "swift investigations", three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident.
