SSNIT launches Membership Value Programme to offer contributors benefits beyond pensions
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has launched its Membership Value Programme (MVP), a new initiative aimed at providing contributors and pensioners with benefits beyond their statutory pensions."The Membership Value Programme recognises that the value of pension membership should not begin only at retirement but should be experienced throughout a contributor's working life," he added, while commending SSNIT Director-General Kwesi Alfred Biney and Ecobank Ghana for championing the initiative.
According to him, the Membership Value Programme represents a fresh and forward-looking approach to social security by ensuring contributors begin to enjoy the value of their membership before retirement.
