Police destroy 2 marijuana plantations in Peki-Dzake forest
Some officers destroying the plants Jul - 20 - 2026 , 09:57 2 minutes read A team of 60 police officers from Ho last Thursday swooped on the dense and vast forest of Peki Dzake in the South Dayi District in the Volta Region and destroyed two marijuana plantations, covering a total of eight acres.
One man who was spotted carrying a hunting gun in the forest at a distance from the marijuana plantations had the weapon seized by the police.
It emerged that the marijuana farmers were also cutting the trees in the forest at an alarming rate, for burning charcoal.
