Police bust motorbike theft ring, six arrested, 17 stolen motorbikes recovered

Acting swiftly on intelligence, police officers arrested the suspects The Upper West Regional Police Command has arrested six suspects believed to be involved in a motorbike theft syndicate and recovered 17 stolen motorbikes from different locations within the region.

In a statement dated July 23, 2026, the Command said the victim shared details of the stolen motorbike with friends and the Police, leading to intelligence that helped officers track down one of the suspects.“Acting swiftly on intelligence, police officers arrested Nasiru Muftawu at Loho in possession of the stolen motorbike,” the statement said.
