‘Peter was our pillar of strength’ – Family mourns Squadron Leader Anala one year after helicopter crash

The family of Squadron Leader Peter Bafimi Anala, one of the eight state officials who died in the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash, says adjusting to life without him has been extremely difficult.

The family shared their reflections during the government’s one-year inter-faith memorial service held in Accra to honour the victims of the helicopter crash.

According to the family, the young pilot was a pillar of support and played a significant role in ensuring the well-being and survival of the Anala family.
