Ghana marks August 6, 2025, helicopter tragedy with National Interfaith Memorial Service

06, GNA – The Government of Ghana has organised a National Interfaith Memorial Service at the University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), in memory of the victims of the August 6th, 2025, Military Helicopter Tragedy.

It would be recalled that exactly a year ago on August 6, 2025, Ghana was plunged into a state of mourning by the tragic military helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region, that claimed the lives of distinguished eight public servants and gallant officers of the nation’s Armed Forces while on a national duty.

Others are Alhaji Limuna Muniru Mohammed, the Deputy National Security Coordinator; Dr Samuel Sarpong, the National Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr Samuel Aboagye, Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation.
