KATH appeals for more support as wheelchair shortage hampers patient care

Telly further urged other health insurance providers to emulate Premier Health Insurance and come to the aid of the hospital, stressing that collective support is needed to bridge the resource gaps in the facility.

Chief Executive Officer of Premier Health Insurance, Percy Asare Ansah, revealed that the company responded to the hospital’s appeal after learning about the growing demand for wheelchairs, driven by the high volume of emergency cases handled daily.

To mark its 15th anniversary, the health insurance provider donated 20 wheelchairs to the hospital to improve patient care and reduce pressure on the emergency unit.
