GMet forecasts thunderstorms in northern Ghana as mist and fog affect southern areas

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has forecast thunderstorms and rain over parts of northern and transition belt communities on Wednesday, while much of southern Ghana is expected to remain under mostly cloudy skies with patches of mist and fog during the early hours.
However, the agency cautioned that thunderstorms and rain are likely to redevelop over sections of the northern sector, as well as parts of the transition and middle belts, from late afternoon into the evening.
Northern towns, including Tamale, Bolgatanga, Wa, Damongo and Nalerigu, are forecast to experience a mix of morning cloudiness and sunny intervals before the possibility of late afternoon or evening thunderstorms in some areas.
