The flagbearer of the People's National Convention (PNC), Bernard Anbataayela Mornah, has filed a lawsuit against the Electoral Commission (EC) following his disqualification from the upcoming December presidential election.
Mr Mornah was among 11 presidential aspirants disqualified from contesting in the December 7, 2024, elections.
According to the EC, the disqualification was due to the aspirants' failure to correct errors on their nomination forms.
EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, stated that Mornah's nomination forms had incomplete supporter details and that he used registered voters from one district to support nominations in other districts, which violated the electoral rules.
