President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, says the association's latest partnership with Adesa Production Limited is a bold step toward transforming the Ghana Premier League into a thriving economic industry.
Speaking at the official unveiling of the agreement in Accra, Okraku stressed that the collaboration is designed not only to uplift the league's financial framework but also to position football as a sustainable business venture in Ghana. "Through this initiative â in partnership with Adesa Productions Limited, the private sector, and with the full backing of Government â we aim to make football in Ghana not just a passion but a viable economic enterprise," Okraku declared.
Under the terms of the partnership, each Ghana Premier League club will receive GHS 1 million before the season starts, alongside additional prize money based on their final position on the league table.
The GFA believes this structure will promote competitiveness and incentivize excellence.
