Sixteen members of the Saviour Church of Ghana who died in a road accident earlier this week were buried in a mass funeral ceremony held in Obogu, in the Asante Akyem North Municipality.
The victims, all from the church's youth ministry, were returning from an annual programme in the Eastern Region when their vehicle collided with a fuel tanker on the Atwedie stretch of the Kumasi-Accra highway.
The crash occurred on Monday, July 28, around 2:30 p.m.
Preliminary investigations suggest the tanker may have burst a tyre while overtaking another vehicle, causing the head-on collision.
