Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has announced plans for a new prize structure in the Ghana Premier League that will reward clubs based on their final league position, not just the winners.

Speaking at the launch of a landmark partnership with Adesa Production Limited (APL), the production unit of Media General, Okraku revealed that the model aims to ensure that all clubs benefit financially from their participation, regardless of their place on the table. "For the first time, we are working on a prize structure that rewards every club based on their league position – not just the champions," he said. "Whether you place first or twentieth; your effort, your performance, your participation will yield financial benefit.

Every game will matter.

Every position will count." The new model is part of a broader deal that will see each Ghana Premier League club receive GHS 1 million ahead of the 2024/25 season.
