Jerry Ameko, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Adaklu, on Thursday, appealed to the Police administration to urgently increase the number of personnel in the district to enhance peace and security.
He noted that the current 13 Police officers responsible for covering the vast land area of Adaklu and its more than 90 communities were insufficient, urging for the establishment of more Police posts.
Ameko made this plea when Madam Esther Buakumah, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in charge of Adaklu, visited Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V, President of the Adaklu Traditional Council, at his palace in Adaklu Abuadi.
The visit was intended to introduce the new Volta Regional Police Commander to the Adaklu Traditional Council and the DCE, although the chiefs were informed that the Regional Commander had been called to Accra at the last minute for an important national assignment.
