Ghanaian Gospel musician Mabel Okyere has asserted that Amakye Dede's iconic highlife song 'Sufre Wo Nyame' carries a divine message and should be recognized as gospel, despite being rooted in the highlife genre.   In an exclusive interview on Joy Prime's Changes show with Roselyn Felli, the singer explained that the song's lyrics speak directly to the heart of Christian teachings, particularly about patience, endurance, and faith in God's timing."If you listen to the words in the song, you can see that it's gospel.

It's not just a song - it contains the word of God," she said.

Mabel further emphasized that a musician's choice of genre doesn't determine their spiritual alignment.

She believes that 'Sufre Wo Nyame' offers encouragement to the youth, especially in an era where many feel pressured to succeed quickly, often overlooking the process.
