The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has identified some shortfalls in the current voters register and is calling on the commission to rectify it before the 2024 elections.
The political party through its Director of Elections have identified five things the electoral commission has omitted that needs to be rectified ahead of the 2024 elections.
The omitted items they are complaining about include: National Voter Statistics, • Regional and Constituency Voter Statistics, • Absentee Voter Statistics, • Gender Statistics, and • Statistics on Proxy Voters.
The NDC wants the EC to rectify this shortfall before the 2024 elections since they believe the absence will affect the credibility of the elections.
