Co-Chair of the Citizens Movement Against Corruption, Edem Senanu, has criticised the legal team of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta for failing to provide sufficient medical documentation-a lapse he says triggered the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice against their client.

His remarks come after Interpol on June 5 listed Ofori-Atta as "Wanted," following the Office of the Special Prosecutor's decision to re-declare him fugitive from justice for failing to appear for a scheduled interrogation on June 2.

At a press briefing that same day, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng announced that extradition proceedings had begun to secure the former minister's return to Ghana.

Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on Sunday, June 8, Edem Senanu raised concerns about the conduct of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta's legal team, criticising them for failing to provide credible medical documentation to justify his absence before the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). "Somehow, they have not been forthcoming, and I'm not quite sure why," he said, expressing frustration over the lack of transparency.
