10 suspects arrested as police bust alleged cyber fraud syndicate in Tema
The Ghana Police Service has rescued nine victims of human trafficking and arrested 10 suspects following an intelligence-led operation targeting an alleged cyber-enabled fraud syndicate at Mataheko-Afienya in the Tema Region.“The Tema Regional Police Command, through the Regional Police Intelligence Directorate, has arrested 10 suspects in connection with internet-related fraudulent activities following an intelligence-led operation on July 3, 2026,” she said.
Addressing a press conference, Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Lydia Yaako Donkor, said the operation was carried out by the Tema Regional Police Command through its Regional Police Intelligence Directorate after weeks of intelligence gathering.
