‘We had to share gloves and boots’ – Ofori Asare reveals Black Bombers’ Commonwealth Games struggles

Black Bombers head coach Ofori Asare has blamed inadequate logistical support for Ghana’s disappointing boxing campaign at the just-ended Commonwealth Games, revealing that some boxers were forced to share competition equipment.

Some of the boxers had to share boxing boots, gloves, and shorts, among other equipment, which was very stressful and unhygienic.

Speaking to JoySports, Asare said the team faced several challenges before and during the competition, including a shortage of essential equipment such as boxing gloves, shorts and boots.
