WAEC denies separate grading system for public, private schools 

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says it applies the same marking schemes and grading systems to candidates in public and private schools who sit the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).“The Council does not operate different marking schemes or grading systems for public and private schools.

Mr Kapi said the Ministry of Education recommended the use of the Standard Nine Grading System.
