Trapped on the margins of development: Five farming communities cut off by poor roads, lack of school, clinic, electricity

For children in five farming communities in the Sikpan Electoral Area of the Nanumba North Municipality of the Northern Region, access to education is often dictated not by the school calendar but by the weather.

Mr Abubakari appealed to the Nanumba North Municipal Assembly, the area's Member of Parliament, and benevolent organisations to support the construction of a permanent school block.

The entire Sikpan Electoral Area lacks a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound, compelling residents to travel long distances over poor roads to seek medical attention.
