Three arrested at Accra Airport as NACOC foils attempted smuggling of GH¢100m worth of tramadol

NACOC said the operation forms part of its ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and safeguard public health and national security.

Three suspects have been arrested at Accra International Airport (AIA) after the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) foiled an attempt to smuggle approximately five million tramadol tablets into the country.

The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation by NACOC officers, who intercepted the consignment estimated to have a street value of about GH¢100 million.
