Salaga North MP calls for immediate implementation of NADMO fund

The Member of Parliament for Salaga North, Alhassan Mumuni, has called for the immediate implementation of the National Disaster Management Fund to provide the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) with the resources needed to respond effectively to emergencies.
Speaking to journalists on October 2, Mr Mumuni said the fund, provided for under the NADMO Act, 2016 (Act 927), was intended to provide the organisation with a sustainable source of financing to carry out its disaster management responsibilities.” The MP said operationalising the National Disaster Management Fund would help address some of these logistical and financial constraints by giving NADMO a more reliable resource base.
