Sagnarigu MUSEC imposes curfew on Damankungyili, Nyeshie following deadly clash

It said the curfew was imposed in consultation with the Northern Regional Security Council as part of measures to restore calm, protect lives and property, and prevent further escalation of the conflict.

The Sagnarigu Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Damankungyili, Nyeshie and adjoining communities in the Sagnarigu Municipality in the Northern Region.

The decision was announced in a press statement issued after an emergency meeting by the MUSEC, held on Tuesday, to assess the security situation following the clashes between the two communities.
