Richard Ahiagbah explains NPP Democracy Under Attack protest, calls for fairness in state investigations

The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has described the party's "Democracy Under Attack" demonstration as a legitimate expression of concern over what it believes is the selective application of justice and the alleged targeting of opposition members by state institutions." The "Democracy Under Attack" demonstration attracted hundreds of NPP supporters, party executives and sympathisers, who marched through the principal streets of Accra after assembling at the forecourt of the Supreme Court.

According to him, the protest was organised to draw national attention to issues the party considers critical to the protection of the rule of law, fairness and the independence of state investigative bodies.
