Prof. Aheto outlines strategic vision to transform UCC

Aheto said his vision for UCC was to provide strategic leadership to foster a transformative, inclusive and diverse academic environment that empowered excellence in research, teaching and learning, and outreach for wider impact on society.

His administration would also strengthen institutional and environmental governance systems, promote staff welfare, human resource development and retention, and foster a culture of research excellence expand the frontiers of academic programmes and deepen knowledge transfer with focus on industry and development partnership, entrepreneurship, policy and citizens engagement.

He stressed that his administration would focus on creating, exploring and harnessing opportunities to support a vibrant academic community capable of driving innovation, inclusiveness and excellence in teaching, research and service.
