
Police recover GH¢140,000, AK-47 rifle after Lashibi robbery attack
Police also retrieved five spent AK-47 shells and two spent pistol shells from the crime scene The Sakumono District Police Command has recovered GH¢140,000 and an AK-47 assault rifle following a robbery attack on a mobile money vendor on Friday, July 3, 2006 at Lashibi, Accra.
According to a statement signed by Chief Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs of the Accra Regional Police Command, preliminary investigations established that the victim was attacked by two armed men riding on a motorbike while driving home from work with a bag containing GH¢140,000.
Police also retrieved five spent AK-47 shells and two spent pistol shells from the crime scene.
