Peace and unity key to Ahanta’s development chiefs, residents rally behind Heritage Month 2026

The appeal comes ahead of the official launch of Ahanta Heritage Month 2026, an initiative aimed at celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Ahanta people while promoting unity, social cohesion and socio-economic development.

Speaking to Ebusuapanyin Potosi of the Anona-Akade Family expressed optimism that the Heritage Month celebrations would strengthen relationships among the people and usher in lasting peace and development across the traditional area.

They appealed to all stakeholders to set aside their differences and work together to make the event a success, expressing confidence that Ahanta Heritage Month 2026 would mark the beginning of a new era of peace, unity and sustainable development for the Ahanta people.
