A Significant work by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) -trained artist, Hacajaka, titled “State of the Union Address After the War”, was acquired last week by renowned art patron and collector, Awentami Paul Afoko, at a recent exhibition.

The work is expected to become part of an appropriate royal collection in Ghana, where it can be preserved as an important element of the nation’s cultural heritage.

The painting, the last available work on the open market from Hacajaka’s acclaimed “Asante Royal Paintings” series, was purchased for an undisclosed sum following competitive bidding at an exhibition at Gallery 1957 recently.
