
Mobile money vendor kills alleged robber after GH¢140,000 robbery attempt at Lashibi
“The Accra Regional Police Command assures the public of its commitment to combating violent crime and urges anyone with information that may assist in the arrest of the fleeing suspect to report to the nearest Police Station or contact the Police through the emergency numbers 18555 or 191,” the statement added.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service and signed by the Head of Public Affairs, Chief Superintendent Juliana Obeng, the incident occurred on Friday, July 3, 2026, when two armed men riding on a motorbike allegedly attacked the vendor as he drove home from work carrying GH¢140,000 in cash.
The Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has since taken over investigations and has launched a manhunt for the second suspect.
