Mahama is the principal beneficiary of free speech in Ghana - George Krobea Asante

Deputy National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante The Deputy National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, has described President John Dramani Mahama as the "principal beneficiary of free speech" in Ghana, arguing that the President extensively exercised his right to criticize the previous administration while in opposition.

The NPP maintains that the demonstration is intended to defend democratic freedoms, including the right to free expression and peaceful assembly.

Speaking on Good Afternoon Ghana on Metro TV, Asante alleged that Mahama made several strong public criticisms of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his time in opposition and encouraged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to speak out against the then-government.
