Mahama announces recruitment of 16,000 teachers this year

President John Dramani Mahama President John Dramani Mahama has announced that government will recruit 16,000 trained teachers this year as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s education sector and improve teaching and learning across the country.

He noted that government remained committed to investing in educational infrastructure, teacher welfare and human capital development to ensure equitable access to quality education throughout the country.

The President commended the management of Peki College of Education for its contribution to teacher training over the years and assured the institution of continued government support to improve infrastructure and the quality of education.
