‘Leadership is Service' - Bunkpurugu MP celebrates legacy of late Duut Emmanuel Kwame

Dr Abed-Nego Lamangin Bandim has praised the leadership of the late Duut Emmanuel Kwame The Member of Parliament for Bunkpurugu, Dr Abed-Nego Lamangin Bandim, has paid a glowing tribute to the late former Member of Parliament for the then Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo Constituency, Duut Emmanuel Kwame, describing him as a symbol of selfless leadership whose legacy of service should inspire future generations.

He said the former legislator’s enduring legacy of honesty, sacrifice and service should serve as a reminder to public office holders that leadership is a sacred responsibility aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

Making a statement on the floor of Parliament on Friday, July 31, 2026, Dr Bandim said the passing of the former legislator, affectionately known as Teacher Yupiong, was a significant loss to the people of Bunkpurugu, Parliament and the nation as a whole.
