Keche Andrew Floats ‘License To Flog’ Idea To Tackle Accra Flooding Woes

In a video shared on TikTok, the Ghanaian musician used humour to express his frustration over indiscriminate waste disposal, joking that he wanted to a police station to find out whether citizens could be granted a special license to confront people who litter.

Keche Andrew went on to suggest that anyone seen dumping refuse into gutters, drains, or water bodies should be apprehended, punished, and then handed over to the police to discourage others from engaging in similar acts.

Keche Andrew has commented on the flooding that has once again hit parts of Accra, arguing that the crisis is being driven as much by poor sanitation habits as by heavy rainfall.
