Gabonese President pays tribute to Rawlings

President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema of Gabon on Thursday paid tribute to former President Jerry John Rawlings during a wreath-laying ceremony at his tomb at the Military Cemetery at Tse Addo in Accra.
Present at the ceremony were some of the children of the late former President, namely Mr Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings, Madam Amina Agyeman-Rawlings and Madam Yaa Asantewaa Agyeman-Rawlings.
Paying tribute, President Nguema described the late former President Rawlings as a distinguished African statesman, patriot and champion of justice whose leadership and ideals continue to inspire generations across the continent.
