Fuel station plan sparks resistance at Ohwimase Lorry Terminal

They maintained that the proposed conversion would undermine the original development plan Assembly members of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly and commercial drivers operating at the Ohwimase Junction lorry terminal in the Ashanti Region have vowed to resist any attempt to convert the community’s designated lorry terminal into a fuel station.“We are calling on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and all relevant authorities to ensure that the land is protected and developed as a modern lorry terminal to meet the transportation and economic needs of the growing Ohwimase community,” they concluded.“Converting the lorry terminal into a fuel station would not only affect the livelihoods of residents but could also create a negative public perception of the government’s commitment to safeguarding public lands meant for community development,” he stated.
