Drivers urged to be cautious as fog, drizzle and storms sweep parts of Ghana

Ghanaians can expect a largely cloudy start to Tuesday, July 28, with the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) forecasting mist, fog and isolated light rain across parts of the country before thunderstorms develop later in the day in some northern and transition areas.

According to GMet's 18-hour forecast, the morning will be characterised by widespread cloud cover, with mist and fog patches expected over coastal, forest and mountainous areas, reducing visibility for motorists and other road users.

The agency said a few coastal and forest communities could experience pockets of slight rain or drizzle during the early hours, while isolated thunderstorms or rain are expected in parts of the Upper West and Upper East regions.
