Citizens, MMDA to join national general cleaning exercise
A two-day National General Cleaning exercise will commence today in seven regions to improve sanitation and reduce the risk of flooding.
The nationwide exercise forms part of Government’s response to the devastating June 29 floods, which affected Accra and other parts of the country.
MMDAs have been directed to collaborate with waste management companies to provide waste trucks, gloves, shovels and other cleaning equipment at designated collection points to support the exercise.
