China Mall donates GH¢50,000 relief items to flood victims

The Amasaman China Mall, in collaboration with the Ga West Municipal Assembly, has distributed relief items worth about GH¢50,000 to victims affected by recent floods in parts of the municipality, with a renewed call for corporate organisations to support disaster recovery efforts.

Mr Nai described the donation by China Mall as a demonstration of corporate social responsibility and urged more companies operating within the municipality to emulate the gesture to complement government efforts in assisting victims of natural disasters Mitigation efforts The MCE said the assembly had intensified continuous dredging and desilting of drains to ensure the free flow of water during heavy rains.

Presenting the items, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West, John Desmond Sowah Nai, said although the government and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) had already provided relief to some victims, many others had not received assistance.
