Auditor-General submits new reports to Parliament

On performance audits, the reports covered sea defence project implementation by the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources; the operations of the National Petroleum Authority; management of mortuary facilities in public hospitals; government efforts to reduce maternal mortality under SDG 3.
They comprise the Public Accounts of Ghana covering Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), District Assemblies, Pre-University Educational Institutions, Public Universities and Colleges of Education, Public Boards, Corporations and other Statutory Institutions, and the Whole-of-Government Accounts.
Under Article 187(5) of the 1992 Constitution, the Auditor-General is required to submit such reports to Parliament, which refers them to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for further examination.
