AMA distributes 997 desks to eight public schools in Accra
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has presented 997 school desks to eight selected public schools across the metropolis to improve teaching and learning and create a more comfortable classroom environment for pupils.
He said the Assembly was also investing part of its Internally Generated Fund in the renovation of schools across the metropolis, including the repair of classroom roofs, replacement of damaged furniture, and improvement of toilet facilities.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the Municipal Chief Executive of the AMA, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, said the provision of the desks was in fulfilment of a commitment made by President John Dramani Mahama to improve furniture supply in public schools under the Government's Reset Agenda.
