Chief explains new title The Abotakyihene, Nana Kwame Sakyi Ababio II, said the traditional council had deliberately introduced the Amanonehene title as part of efforts to strengthen the community's connections with people and organisations outside Ghana.

The installation marked the formal entry of Nana Ohene Tagoe into the traditional leadership structure of Abotakyi Akuapem, with expectations that he will use his local and international networks to support development in the community.
