Aboso explosion: Police probe suspected illegal explosives storage after three killed near Tarkwa

The Western Central Regional Police Command has launched investigation into the deadly explosion at a tailings site in Aboso, near Tarkwa, that claimed three lives and left three others injured.

In a statement, the Western Central Regional Police Command expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Police officers were quickly dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported and immediately began investigations to determine how the suspected explosives ended up at the site and whether any laws governing their possession and storage were violated.
