Lawyer for Democracy Hub protesters, Timothy Selikem Donkor has stated that the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has acknowledged receipt of their petition for investigation of the police over the arrest and detention of protesters The lawyers petitioned CHARJ on Wednesday, September 25 for investigation into what they have described as the "unlawful arrest" and "unlawful detention" of the Democracy Hub protesters by the police.

Speaking on TV3's New Day, Thursday, September 26, Timothy Donkor disclosed that CHRAJ has assured them of investigations into the matter although the Commission is yet to provide an official written response. "We've not received response in respect of act but they have acknowledged receipt of the petition and they informed us they will immediately take steps to ensure that a case management committee is set up and the matter is investigated.

So, we are waiting for that," he noted.
