The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Akwatia by-election, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, has compared himself to the biblical Joshua, declaring that he has been chosen to continue the work started by the late MP Ernest Yaw Kumi.
Citing a biblical reference, he noted that just as Moses began leading the Israelites toward the Promised Land, and Joshua was chosen to finish the task, he has stepped in to continue the late MP's vision for the constituency. "I know Ernest Kumi was passionate about developing Akwatia.
He wanted real transformation, and that is the exact mission I intend to fulfill if given the mandate," he said while addressing constituents.
