Cadman Mills, brother of the late former President , has weighed in on calls from two foreign legal bodies: the Bar Council of England and Wales (BCEW) and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA), for the reinstatement of suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Torkornoo.

Sharing his view on the development, Cadman Mills said the letter should have been returned to its authors and marked as 'irreceivable'.

He described the tone of the letter as disrespectful, stating that such behavior must neither be accepted nor tolerated.

Mills went on to critique the grammar of the letter, asserting that it contained several errors - particularly highlighting its use of the phrase 'immediately and without delay,' which he described as tautological. "'IMMEDIATELY AND WITHOUT DELAY' is a tad tautological but must be expected from 'whom that must be obeyed.' The letter should have been returned as 'irreceivable' for its unacceptably disrespectful tone," he wrote on X on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
