Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Akwatia Constituency, Solomon Kwame Asumadu, has declared himself as the Joshua of the Akwatia Constituency.
Relying on the Bible to back his claim, he indicated that just as Moses was charged with taking the Israelites to the Promised Land but could not finish the journey, and Joshua was appointed to lead the Israelites, he has come to complete the work of Ernest Kumi. "I know that Ernest Kumi had the development of the Akwatia constituency at heart.
He wanted to transform the constituency, and that is certainly what I will do when I'm voted into power," he said.
He continued, "I am the Joshua of our time, and as Joshua took the Israelites to the promised land, I have been chosen to take Akwatia to the promised land.
