A1RADIO reports that the Bolgatanga Technical Institute (BOTECH) has been shut down indefinitely after a violent student riot led to parts of the school being set on fire.
The chaos, which erupted late last night and continued into the early hours of this morning, destroyed the school's library and the senior housemaster's office.
Police say the exact cause of the disturbance remains unclear.
